A world house of tea & botanicals
Owner planning

From leaf to customer.

A proposed launch plan for SwaTea: where to buy, how to preserve the tea, where to sell and which opportunities to validate. This is a planning view, not a list of confirmed suppliers or commercial commitments.

01 · Source

Start with taste and traceability.

Family-brand pilot

First evaluate the relative’s existing range and packing capability. Begin with 3–5 products that pass a repeatable tasting standard.

Indian tea discovery

Explore estate and wholesale routes for Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri. Ask for samples, batch details, minimum quantities and delivered pricing.

Botanical ingredients

Confirm the botanical name, ingredient specification, origin and testing before agreeing a blend.

Rare tea

Buy small samples first. Require credible garden, harvest, batch and authenticity documentation before a collector release.

These are research leads, not approved SwaTea suppliers. Wholesale terms, resale rights and import availability must be confirmed directly.

02 · Preserve

Protect the aroma.

Storage space

Use a clean, dry, dark, odour-free area away from heat, kitchens and direct sunlight.

Barrier first

Use a suitable sealed food-contact barrier pack inside the decorative jar. A beautiful caddy alone is not proof of airtightness.

Batch control

Record receipt date, lot, opening date and the supplier’s best-before date. Use first-expiry-first-out stock rotation.

Botanicals & matcha

Keep strongly scented ingredients separate. Follow the maker’s specific storage instructions for matcha and delicate products.

03 · Sell

Test demand before expanding.

Ahmedabad first

A proposed pilot through local discovery tastings, a small direct catalogue and repeat home orders.

Corporate & wedding gifts

Test a compact World Chest with clear quantities, lead times and personalisation options.

Cafés & hospitality

Offer samples and a simple serving guide to suitable independent cafés or hotels. None are confirmed customers.

Online growth

Add transactional checkout after products, prices, stock, delivery and returns are ready. Test marketplaces after the pilot.

World-tea archive

Use origins, recipes and hotel references to inspire discovery, even where a tea is not currently offered.

Refill model

Test whether customers want a keepsake caddy plus lower-cost refills; measure actual reorders.

04 · Validate

Where the house can stand out.

One coherent world

Hypothesis: customers value world tea, everyday chai and botanicals under a single thoughtful brand.

Distinctive Aparajita

Hypothesis: a blue botanical ritual and beautiful vessel make discovery memorable.

Explain the premium

Hypothesis: clear provenance and tasting detail support rare-tea pricing more convincingly than expensive packaging alone.

A complete gift

Hypothesis: a tea story, brewing guide and porcelain pairing increase gifting appeal.

05 · Pilot

A measured first release.

Week 1

Taste samples, shortlist products and agree collaboration responsibilities.

Week 2

Confirm batch records, barrier packs, costing and the proposed product information.

Week 3

Run a small tasting pilot and collect feedback on flavour, packaging and willingness to reorder.

Week 4

Review margins, fulfilment and repeat interest before committing to a larger launch.
